A cutting machine configured in such a manner that, even if the depth to which the rotating blade cuts into a material to be cut is changed, the dust collection efficiency does not deteriorate. A cutting machine (1) configured in such a manner that a stationary cover (20) supported on a base (10), which is made to be in contact with a material (W) to be cut, and covering the rotating blade (21) is provided with a dust collection passage (30) which is provided adjacent to the stationary cover and communicates with the outside of the stationary cover. The depth of cut by the rotating blade into the material to be cut can be adjusted by changing the amount of downward protrusion of the rotating blade relative to the base. The cutting machine (1) is provided with a closure body (28) which, in association with the amount of the protrusion, closes a first gap (G11) located within the stationary cover and between the rotating blade and the dust collection passage.
