Abstract:
A cutting tool of one embodiment of the present invention is provided with the following: a columnar holder having pockets; and inserts positioned in the pockets. A pocket includes the following: a first surface that comes into contact with an insert; a second surface that is positioned further forward in the rotational direction of a rotating shaft than the first surface and on the radial inner side of the holder; and a projection part that is positioned closer to the radial outer circumferential-side of the holder than the first surface and that projects forward in the rotational direction of the rotating shaft. From the front view of the first end, the second surface is inclined so as to come closer to the outer circumference of the holder as the second surface runs forward in the rotational direction of the rotating shaft.
