Abstract:
A control unit 13 executes a first step for cutting the flank face side of a material to be cut 20 by scanning a cylindrical irradiation region including the focus site of a laser beam 2 emitted from a laser beam irradiation unit 10, and produces a cutting tool having a line of a plurality of cutting blades. In the first step, the control unit 13 forms the plurality of cutting blades by scanning a cylindrical irradiation region on a cyclical scanning path in which the cutting depth is varied. The control unit 13 further executes a second step for cutting the rake face side of the material to be cut 20 by scanning a cylindrical irradiation region including the focus site of the laser beam, the laser beam being emitted in a direction that differs from the laser beam irradiation direction in the first step.
