Abstract:
A cutting volume-based CNC machining tool life evaluation method. According to cutting parameters of a tool (2) in a different machining type, a cutting volume correction coefficient and tool instantaneous cutting parameters are set and integrated to solve a cutting volume, and the volume of a cut material in this machining type is used to represent the service life of the tool (2). The method fully considers the influence of actual cutting parameters on the service life of the tool (2). Compared with conventional methods using the time to represent the service lives of the tools, the method is more accurate, and can assist machining centers in accurately controlling tool changing periods with respect to the machining types carried out by itself.
