Abstract:
Provided is a cyanine compound that is a counterion conjugate comprising an anion and a cation, the anion being represented by formula (I-1). (In formula (I-1): R1 and R2 each independently denote a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group; R3 and R4 each independently denote a monovalent group such as a phenyl group; X denotes a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a monovalent organic group; and Y denotes a divalent group such as an n-propenyl group.)
