Abstract:
A cyclic sewing setting method for embroidery, wherein an embroidery pattern (60) to be subjected to cyclic sewing is selected and respective intervals (Sx, Sy) in X- and Y-directions between adjacent embroidery patterns are input. Respective numbers of cyclic embroideries in X- and Y-directions within an embroiderable range are automatically calculated based on the interval data inputted, data on embroidering ranges (64) in x- and Y-directions of embroidery patterns (60) and data on a sewing-machine-specific embroiderable range (70) in X- and Y-directions. The above arrangement enables a simple work of only inputting the above data on the interval between adjacent embroidery patterns to determine the number of embroidery patterns that can be repeated within an embroiderable range and their arrangement prior to sewing when as many embroidery patterns as possible are to be produced within an embroiderable range.
