Abstract:
Provided is a cyclone separation device which can efficiently separate dust and can reliably collect the dust into a dust collection chamber without causing the dust to be caught by the opening edge of the opening for connecting a swirl chamber and the dust collection chamber. Also provided is an electric cleaner having the cyclone separation device installed therein.
A first-order swirl chamber (12) swirls dust-containing air, which flows therein from a first-order inlet (11), to separate dust from the dust-containing air and discharges the air, from which the dust has been removed, from a first-order outlet (15). At least a part of the opening edge of a zero-order opening (113) formed by opening a part of the side wall of the first-order swirl chamber (12), said part of the opening edge being located downstream in the direction of swirl of the dust-containing air, has a rounded shape. As a result, the dust separated from the dust-containing air is reliably collected into a zero-order dust collection chamber (114) without being caught by the opening edge of the zero-order opening section (113).
