Abstract:
The present invention provides a cyclonic exhaust gas purification system that comprises a cylindrical structure, a duct, a spray device, and a projecting part. The structure has formed therein a quadrilateral opening having four corners. The duct is connected to the opening. An exhaust gas generated as a result of combustion of fossil fuel flows into the duct. The spray device sprays an absorbing liquid that contains an alkaline component into the structure in order to absorb sulfur oxides contained in the exhaust gas. The projecting part is provided along two sides forming, among the four corners of the opening, a corner located furthest upstream in the flow of the absorbing liquid that has absorbed sulfur oxides and that flows obliquely downward along an inner peripheral surface of the structure.
