Abstract:

A cyclopentene ring-opening polymer having a hydroxide group at an end of the polymer chain is manufactured, and then, by reacting the hydroxide group of said cyclopentene ring-opening polymer with the isocyanate group of a compound having an alkoxysilyl group and an isocyanate group, a cyclopentene ring-opening polymer that has a weight-average molecular weight of 100,000-1,000,000 and contains, at an end of the polymer chain, a structure in which the polymer chain is coupled to an alkoxysilyl-group-containing group via a urethane group is manufactured.
