Abstract:
This cylinder device is provided with: a tubular cylinder that has an opening at least at one end; a rod that is formed of a metal and protrudes from the opening of the cylinder; and a sliding member that is provided at the opening of the cylinder so as to be in sliding contact with the rod. The surface of the rod is provided with a chromium plating film. The aspect ratio of the average crystallite diameter in the film thickness direction to the average crystallite diameter in the in-plane direction in the chromium plating film is 0.2 or less.
