Abstract:
A cylinder liner for the internal-combustion engine, in which a deck of the cylinder block (1) into which a mid-stop liner (4) is inserted is divided into two parts (2, 3) and sealing of cooling water is conducted at points (5, 7 and 6, 8) by the upper deck (2), whereas positional fixation (13) of the liner (4) is performed by the lower deck (3). In this way, a cylinder liner easy to work, resistant to corrosion, and high in stiffness can be provided.
