The present invention provides: a cylindrical knitted fabric which is readily wearable, does not provide a wearer with the sense of tightness but with a good fitting feeling on the entirety of wearing parts, and can prevent or mitigate occurrence of swelling even in the case of a long-time wearing; and a knitting method for such a cylindrical knitted fabric.　A cylindrical knitted fabric 10 is characterized by comprising: a cylindrical knitted fabric body 12; a first knitting part 14 that extends in a direction inclined with respect to the axial direction of the fabric body 12 and that is obtained by knitting spirally in the circumferential direction of the fabric body 12; and a second knitting part 16 that is adjoining to the first knitting part 14, extends in a direction inclined with respect to the axial direction of the knitted fabric body 12, and is obtained by knitting spirally in the circumferential direction of the fabric body 12. The cylindrical knitted fabric is also characterized in that the first knitting part 14 and the second knitting part 16 are both formed from stitches 18 of knitting yarn, and the first knitting part 14 and/or the second knitting part 16 includes therein elastic yarn 20.
