Abstract:
In a cylindrical roller bearing (10) with an outer ring, a plurality of protruding portions (40) each having an engaging portion (41) that protrudes further outward than the inner circumferential surface of an inward-turning flange portion (15) are provided to an annular portion (32) of a retainer (30) on the other axial side. In addition, B > A, where A is the axial distance between the flat surface, on the one axial side, of an outward-turning flange portion (14) and the end face, on the one axial side, of an annular portion (32) on the one axial side, and B is the axial distance between the flat surface, on the other axial side, of the inward-turning flange portion (15) and the side surface, on the one axial side, of the engaging portion (41). It is thereby possible to provide a cylindrical roller bearing with an outer ring in which it is possible to prevent the retainer from falling out of the outer ring without increasing the number of components and while maintaining an excellent ease of assembly, and in which the ease of insertion of the cylindrical rollers and the prevention of cylindrical roller loss from the retainer have been taken into consideration.
