Abstract:
A damage reduction device according to an embodiment of the present technique comprises an input unit, a prediction unit, an occupant estimation unit, and a determination unit. The input unit inputs: object travel data related to the state of travel of a manned moving entity approaching a moving entity device; and object occupant data related to boarding positions of occupants in the manned moving entity. The prediction unit predicts collision with the manned moving entity on the basis of the object travel data. The occupant estimation unit estimates the occupants' boarding positions in the manned moving entity on the basis of the object occupant data. If it is predicted that collision with the manned moving entity is unavoidable, the determination unit determines a target collision site in the manned moving entity where the moving entity device should collide on the basis of the occupants' boarding positions in the manned moving entity.
