Abstract:
Provided are a damper and ink circulation method which make it possible to suppress the deposition of the coloring material in ink. A damper (40) of the water head difference type supplies, to a head, ink which is supplied from an ink tank of an inkjet printer as a result of a water head difference. The damper (40) is equipped with: a supply chamber for temporarily storing the ink; an ink chamber (45) for supplying the ink to the head and connected to the supply chamber via a connecting channel (49); and an opening/closing valve (42). The opening/closing valve (42) opens the connecting channel (49) when the ink in the ink chamber (45) decreases, and closes the connecting channel (49) when the ink in the ink chamber (45) increases. A guide port (50) for guiding the ink in the ink chamber (45) to the circulation tube for circulating ink between ink tanks opens to the ink chamber (45).
