Abstract:
Provided are a damper and an ink jet recording device, which are configured so that pressure being transmitted does not decrease during pressurization. A damper (10) comprises a body (12) having provided therein a common liquid chamber (18), a first liquid chamber (20), and a second liquid chamber (22). The first liquid chamber (20) is in communication with the common liquid chamber (18) through a first communication section (28A). The second liquid chamber (22) is in communication with the common liquid chamber (18) through a second communication section (28B). The first communication section (28A) and the second communication section (28B) are selectively opened and closed by a first opening and closing section (44). The common liquid chamber (18) is connected to an inlet section (14). The first liquid chamber (20) is connected to a first outlet section (16A). The second liquid chamber (22) is connected to a second outlet section (16B). The first outlet section (16A) and the second outlet section (16B) are selectively opened and closed by a second opening and closing section (46).
