Abstract:
A damper stay mounting structure for the back door of a vehicle is provided with: a hinge (H1) provided to the roof (10) of the vehicle; the back door (20) rotatable about the hinge (H1); and a damper stay (30) for assisting the upward rotation of the back door (20). The hinge (H1) is provided in front of the rear end of the roof (10). The back door (20) has a back door rear face section (20H) for constituting at least a part of the rear face of the vehicle when the back door (20) is in a closed position; and a back door roof section (20R) for covering the portion of the roof (10), which is located behind the hinge (H1). One end of the damper stay (30) is connected to the roof (10), and the other end of the damper stay (30) is connected to the back door (20). When the back door (20) is in the closed position, the damper stay (30) is received between the back door roof section (20R) and the portion of the roof (10), which is located behind the hinge (H1).
