Abstract:

Provided is a damper that is equipped with a power generation function and that is able to generate damping force suitably and generate power suitably. This damper (1) with a power generation function is equipped with a cylinder (10), a rod (50), magnetic particles (90), and a coil unit (20). The rod (50), which is able to move reciprocally in the axial direction, protrudes to the outside of the cylinder (10). The magnetic particles (90) have the characteristic of a permanent magnet, and a plurality of these magnetic particles fill the interior of the cylinder (100). The coil unit (20) generates induced electromotive force when the number of magnetic lines of force passing through the interior of the coil unit (20) changes due to a change in the orientation of the magnetic lines of force formed by the plurality of magnetic particles (90) in conjunction with the reciprocal movement of the rod (50).
