Abstract:
A damper is provided with: a piston; a cylinder into which the piston is inserted from one end side thereof and which has a partition wall (52) on the other end side thereof, the partition wall (52) having formed therein an air passage hole (44) for connecting the inside and the outside; and a valve body (60) which is provided to the other end side of the cylinder. The cylinder has: a first cylinder section (38) which protrudes from the partition wall (52) of the cylinder so as to surround the air passage hole (44) and which has a front end having an opening which connects to the air passage hole (44); and a second cylinder section (40) which cylindrically protrudes from the partition wall (52) so as to surround the first cylinder section (38). The second cylinder section (40) has protrusions (42) which are formed on the inner peripheral surface thereof and which are arranged in the circumferential direction. The valve body (60) is loosely fitted between the protrusions (42) and the front end of the first cylinder section (38), and when the pressure within the inside of the cylinder becomes negative, the valve body (60) closes the air passage hole (44) by coming into contact with the front end of the first cylinder section (38).
