Abstract:
A damper that produces a braking force due to the operation of a piston (P) and comprises: the piston (P), which is provided with a rod; and a housing (H), which accommodates the piston (P). The piston (P) is provided with: a seal member (2) at the inner wall of the housing (H); and a slider (3) that is provided slidably in relation to the piston (P) and is in contact, with a prescribed frictional force, with the inner wall of the housing. When the braking force is generated, the slider (3) presses against the seal member (2), and a skirt-like part (2e) of the seal member (2) deforms outwards towards the housing (H).
