Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a damper with which a shock when reaching a high-speed region from a low-speed region can be reduced without compromising ride comfort when the piston speed is in a low-speed region. [Solution] In order to solve the aforementioned problem, in the damper which solves the problem of the present invention, an orifice (7) and an opening/closing valve (9) are arranged in parallel in a bypass channel (B) that bypasses a damping channel (3), and the valve opening pressure of the opening/closing valve (9) is configured to be lower than the valve opening pressure of a damping valve (5), and thus even when the damping force when the piston speed is in a low-speed region is increased, a sudden change in the gradient of damping force properties at a point of inflection in the damping force properties can be mitigated.
