Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a damper with which a shock when transitioning from a low-speed region to a high-speed region can be reduced without compromising ride comfort in a very low-speed region. [Solution] The present invention is provided with: a second pressure-side damping channel (P4) that connects two chambers, bypassing a pressure-side main valve that opens/closes a first pressure-side damping channel (P2) connecting the two chambers and imparts resistance to the flow of a fluid moving in the first pressure-side damping channel (P2); and a pressure-side throttle valve (V4) that throttles the second pressure-side damping channel (P4). The pressure-side throttle valve (V4) has: a housing (4) which includes a valve seat provided at one end in the axial direction; a case (5) which is inserted into the housing (4) and of which the position in the axial direction relative to the housing (4) can be adjusted; a valve body (6) which is inserted into the case (5) in a movable manner with one end facing toward the valve seat and in which movement in the case (5) toward the valve seat is restricted; and a coil spring (S) which biases the valve body (6) toward the valve seat.
