Abstract:
A damper A is provided with: a suspension spring 2 for pressing the damper body 1 in the extension direction; a jack 3; and a spring receiver 21 driven by the jack 3. The jack 3 has a housing 33 and a piston 34. The housing 33 includes a cylinder section 33b provided around the outer periphery of an outer shell 10. The piston 34 is inserted between the outer shell 10 and the cylinder section 33b. In a state in which the piston 34 has moved out to a maximum extent from the cylinder section 33b, the fitting length M1 of the spring receiver 21 is greater than the fitting length M2 of the piston 34 in the housing 33.
