Abstract:
Provided is a damper in which, with a rod drawn out to a maximum limit from a cap inlet/outlet, the tilt of the rod can be regulated and decreases in sealing properties can be prevented. This damper 10 has a cylinder 20, a piston 30 having a head 31 and a rod 32, and a cap 50 provided with an inlet/outlet 53, the head 31 being provided with a pair of first protrusions 40, 40, and the cap 50 being provided with a pair of second protrusions 60, 60. The damper is configured such that, with the rod 32 drawn out to a maximum limit from the inlet/outlet 53 as seen from an axial direction of a shaft linking part, tips 65 of the second protrusions 60 come into contact with the head 31, opposing side surfaces of the first protrusions 40 and the second protrusions 60 are able to come into contact with each other, and the tilt of the rod 32 is regulated.
