Abstract:
A performance assessment method for a shock absorber (2). The method comprises: using a difference value obtained by subtracting the supporting force value of the current travel position of a set supporting spring (1) or an equivalent supporting spring (1) from the gravity force of a vehicle body portion supported by the supporting spring (1) as the basis of a reference force value for calculating a stretch damping force value or a compression damping force value of the current travel position of the shock absorber (2); and using the reference force value of the shock absorber (2) at the travel position as a basis for controlling or setting the damping force value of the shock absorber (2), and as a basis for determining the performance of the shock absorber (2). The method can intuitively determine the degree of comfort after the shock absorber (2) and the supporting spring (1) are matched with the vehicle of a vehicle, and make the commissioning of a vehicle suspension, and the selection and matching of the shock absorber (2) and the supporting spring (1) be easier. Also disclosed is an optimal damping control scheme for the shock absorber (2), for solving the problem, which plagued the industry of the shock absorber (2), of how to realize the optimal damping of the shock absorber (2).
