Abstract:
Ports (2a and 2b), which flow out a fluid from first fluid chambers (41 and 42) to second fluid chambers (42 and 41) defined by a piston (1) of a fluid pressure buffer, extend through the piston (1). Damping valves (10a and 10b) close the ports (2a and 2b) the second fluid chambers (42 and 41) sides. The effective section areas of passages (21d, 21e, 26d and 26e) for providing communications between the first fluid chambers (41 and 42) and the ports (2a and 2b) are reduced by throttle valves (12, 14, 51 and 52) in accordance with the pressures of the first fluid chambers (41 and 42). The pressures of pressure chambers (18 and 19) and the biasing forces of leaf springs (25, 29, 71 and 72) are applied to the throttle valves (12, 14, 51 and 52) oppositely of the pressures of the first fluid chambers (41 and 42), so that the fluid pressure buffer establishes dumping force characteristics different for a medium-speed range and a high-speed range in connection with the stroke speed of the piston (1).
