Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a data collection system, a terminal, a data collection method, and a program by which various types of metadata can be collected through wireless communication and by which the sensing data and the metadata can be associated with each other without error. A data collection system 301 according to the present invention performs communication from terminals 11 to a data collecting unit 12 using a standardized wireless communication protocol, the data collection system being characterized in that: each of the terminals 11 stores metadata other than sensing data detected by a sensor device in an extension region in a control system frame prescribed by the wireless communication protocol; and the data collecting unit 12 collects the metadata for each of the terminals 11 on the basis of information identifying the terminal 11 that is described in the control system frame.
