Abstract:

There is provided a mechanism for securely managing information of each provider on a memory area, and a single IC card is shared among a plurality of service providers. File systems for the respective service providers are assigned to a single memory area, and a single information storage medium is shared among the plurality of providers. The memory area is divided into the file systems. Each boundary between the file systems functions as a firewall to excellently reject malicious accesses. Moreover, the dividing function for the file systems is combined with the lock code checking function for each file system, thereby realizing an independent security management for each of the file systems.
