Abstract:
Disclosed is a data distribution method for a decentralized distributed heterogeneous storage system, comprising the following steps: 1, classifying data objects; 2, classifying storage devices; 3, dividing stored data into different "placement group clusters", each storage device type corresponding to a type of "placement group clusters"; 4, calculating the ratios that each type of data objects to be stored should be placed into different types of "placement group clusters"; 5, determining, by using a hash algorithm, which "placement group" in a "placement group cluster" a data object to be stored belongs; 6, using a data distribution algorithm of a storage system to store data objects in each "placement group" to a plurality of corresponding storage devices; and 7, during the running process of the system, calculating a migration threshold value according to an access feature of a data object, and dynamically migrating the data object. The advantages of the present invention are that the performance, load balancing and extensibility of the storage system are maintained, and the number of writing operations of a solid state disk is also reduced.
