Disclosed are a data downloading method and apparatus, and a terminal. The data downloading method comprises: detecting whether a first data downloading instruction regarding a first data file, the downloading thereof needing to be completed, is received; when the first data downloading instruction is received, reserving a first storage space for the first data file; and downloading the first data file to the first storage space. In the embodiments of the present disclosure, by storing data information downloaded corresponding to the data file in a reserved storage space, the data file, with the data information being completely downloaded, covers the storage space, thereby effectively avoiding the occurrence of a phenomenon, such as data loss caused due to the fact that a storage space in a terminal is insufficient to continue the downloading during a data file downloading process, and effectively improving the efficiency of data downloading.
