Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a data encoding method and device, which method is applied to a sending end. The method comprises: acquiring the real-time capacity of a channel, at least one path of main path image data and at least one path of auxiliary path image data; encoding the at least one path of main path image data, so as to obtain at least one path of main path encoded data, wherein the data volume of the at least one path of main path encoded data is less than the real-time capacity of the channel; and according to a preset quality requirement and the remaining capacity of the channel, performing variable frame rate encoding on the at least one path of auxiliary path image data, so as to obtain at least one path of auxiliary path encoded data, wherein the at least one path of main path encoded data and the at least one path of auxiliary path encoded data are simultaneously transmitted, and the remaining capacity of the channel is determined according to the real-time capacity of the channel and the data volume of the at least one path of main path encoded data. By means of the present application, not only can the transmission quality of the main path image data be guaranteed, but the smoothness of a code stream during the switching between main and auxiliary path images can also be guaranteed, and especially, a better effect is achieved when jitter occurs in the channel capacity of a data transmission system.
