Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are a data file code reduction processing method and a server, which reduce the download delay for users and reduce the increased load caused by multiple queries on the server. According to the method, a server receives an upload application request sent by a first client; the server queries a rapid transmission index according to the upload application request, the rapid transmission index being used for recording the associated information of the file IDs of a plurality of original data files and the file IDs of corresponding reduced code data files; if there is a hit in the rapid transmission index, the server sends a first rapid transmission hit instruction to the first client, the first rapid transmission hit instruction comprising: a second file ID; the server receives a first download application request sent by a second client; and the server obtains a first reduced code data file according to the second file ID and sends the first reduced code data file to the second client.
