Abstract:
A data index management method and device in a storage system, relating to the field of computer technology, facilitating the creation of a data index by using an operation unit having a suitable granularity, thereby saving the storage space occupied by the data index. Said method comprises: acquiring first data to be written, a logical address range of said first data being a first logical address range; generating a data index on the basis of the alignment of a logical address range of a data index to be generated in the first logical address range with data index operation units having different lengths in a storage system, the storage system containing a data index operation unit having a first length and a data index operation unit having a second length, the first length being greater than the second length.
