Abstract:

The present invention disclosed a data managing method in a network storage system. It set a core manager in the storage servers of the network storage system. The said core manager made the storage spaces corresponding to the storage server constituted as a public storage space, and separated each storage server and the corresponding meta data which the said storage server controlled, thus it became a storage manager. The said core manager in the storage managers controlled the meta data’s storage location in the public storage space and the relationship of the meta data and the said storage manager. It can implement the processes as expanding, invalidation disposing, dynamic load balance and/or re-constructing the cluster et al easily and effectively by adjusting the corresponding relationship. The present invention solved the expansibility problem of the conventional network storage system effectively, extended the dynamic process ability of the storage manage cluster to an extreme degree, thus improved the reliability and usability of the data exceedingly.
