Abstract:
A data page processing method and an apparatus therefor. The method comprises: according to a first data page, obtaining a second data page (S210); and compressing the second data page, so as to obtain a compressed data page (S220). The first data page comprises first data based on a row storage mode, and a first group of offsets, wherein the first group of offsets are used for indicating the offset of each row of the first data; and the second data page comprises second data based on the row storage mode, and a second group of offsets, wherein the second group of offsets are used for indicating the offset of each row of the second data, the second data is data that is obtained after the first data is preprocessed, the second group of offsets are a group of offsets that are obtained after the first group of offsets are preprocessed, and the preprocessing comprises byte level-based row and column conversion. The data page processing method achieves a relatively high compression rate, and the compression time consumed thereby is basically the same as that of an existing compression method.
