Abstract:
This technology relates to a data processing device, a data processing method, and a program which enable improvement in compression efficiency.
A data processing device comprises a first compression unit that performs compression by compressive sensing, and a second compression unit that compresses an observation coefficient from the first compression unit by a compression method different from that of the first compression unit. The first compression unit performs random sampling using a sampling matrix, and the sampling matrix is optimized for the compression of the second compression unit. The sampling matrix is a matrix designed such that a difference value between observation coefficients becomes smaller. This technology is applicable to a recording and reproduction device which captures, compresses, records, and reproduces image data.
