Abstract:

Particle size distribution data corresponding to each of a plurality of refractive indexes (A, B ...) is generated by carrying out calculation using the refractive indexes (A, B ...) on each of a plurality of light intensity distribution data items (a, b ...) obtained from the same sample. An optimal refractive index is determined on the basis of the plurality of refractive indexes (A, B ...)that were used. Determining a refractive index on the basis of a plurality of light intensity distribution data items (a, b ...) in this way rather than on the basis of a single light intensity distribution data item makes it possible to further optimize a refractive index.
