Abstract:
The present application provides a data processing method and apparatus and a related device. The method comprises: a computing device determining a first reference value according to a plurality of pieces of first data to be compressed; then calculating a difference between each piece of first data and the first reference value; and determining a code corresponding to each difference, and obtaining corresponding compressed data of the first data according to each code. The lengths of some or all of the codes corresponding to the pieces of first data are smaller than the lengths of the original first data. The reference value is data that appears more frequently among the plurality of pieces of data to be compressed; when differences between the plurality of pieces of data to be compressed and the reference value are respectively calculated, the number of 0 among a plurality of obtained differences is the largest; and after the differences are coded, the data corresponding to the differences can be compressed to be of few bits. Because the codes occupy less bits than the data, the compression of the data can be achieved, the volume of data interacted between different computing devices is reduced, and the data transmission efficiency is improved.
