Abstract:
Disclosed are a data processing method and apparatus, which are used for guaranteeing the continuity of service. The method of embodiments of the present invention comprises: a transmission control protocol (TCP) proxy transmits a pseudo-confirmation message to an adjacent device after receiving a data packet transmitted by the adjacent device, the pseudo-confirmation message being used for instructing the adjacent device not to remove a data segment carried in the data packet out of a TCP window of the adjacent device, and the adjacent device being a transmitting end or other TCP proxy; the TCP proxy forwards the data packet; the TCP proxy receives a first confirmation message, the first confirmation message being used for confirming that a receiving end has already successfully received the data packet; and the TCP proxy transmits, according to the first confirmation message, a second confirmation message, the second confirmation message being used for instructing the adjacent device to remove the data segment carried in the data packet out of the TCP window of the adjacent device.
