Abstract:
A data processing method and system. The data processing method comprises the following steps: converting input data into an optical signal (S1); performing matrix vector multiplication operation on input data carried by the optical signal and a weight matrix by means of a plurality of photon multipliers, the weight matrix determining problems to be solved by means of data processing (S2); and converting the optical signal, which is subjected to the multiplication operation, into output data (S3). The method can be used for a system and an algorithm for solving the problems of data clustering, marking, classification and semantic segmentation; the most time-consuming and energy-consuming matrix vector multiplication is executed by using the photon multipliers, so that the calculation time and energy consumption can be reduced, thereby improving the processing speed of the system and reducing the energy consumption.
