Abstract:
Provided is a virtual volume with which one or more of a second first type of metadata are associated. At least one first type of metadata of unstructured data has associated therewith a second type of metadata containing information that indicates one or more content attributes of the unstructured data. The unstructured data has associated therewith, in addition to a first first type of metadata (original metadata) of the unstructured data, the second first type of metadata based on replication of the first first type of metadata. On the basis of the association of one or more of the second type of metadata conforming to one or more search conditions at a specified time after modification, and one or more of the second first type of metadata associated with the virtual volume, a data processing system maintains the reference destination of the one or more second first type of metadata as one or more unstructured data corresponding to the one or more search conditions at a specified time after modification.
