Abstract:
A data processing system according to an embodiment of the present invention manages one or more tables and a plurality of archive files which include one or more records which are extracted from the tables. Upon accepting a search request with respect to the tables, the data processing system generates a query (partial query 1) for searching the tables for items which are designated by the search request, identifies the archive files which include the records which are moved from the tables which are subject to the search by the search request, and generates a query (partial query 2) for searching the identified archive files for the items designated by the search request. The data processing system generates a query for deriving a union of the output results of the partial query 1 and the partial query 2, and executes processes relating to the generated query in parallel.
