Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a data storage method and device. The method comprises: receiving a data write request, the data write request carrying data to be written, and the data to be written comprising at least one data block; calculating a fingerprint of each data block, the fingerprint being used for uniquely identifying the data block; determining whether the fingerprint of each data block exists in a fingerprint table, the fingerprint table comprising a fingerprint corresponding to a data block stored in a high-speed storage medium and a fingerprint corresponding to a data block stored in a low-speed storage medium; performing a deduplication operation on the data to be written: directing a data block with the fingerprint existing in the fingerprint table to the storage address of a data block corresponding to the fingerprint in the fingerprint table, and deleting the data block with the fingerprint existing in the fingerprint table from the data to be written; and storing the data to be written having experienced the deduplication operation to the high-speed storage medium or low-speed storage medium. The use of the solution provided by embodiments of the present application can effectively improve the storage efficiency and save storage space by storing data to be stored after performing deduplication by means of a global fingerprint table.
