Abstract:
A step is provided in which an error detection code generating portion of a data transmission circuit generates an error detection code for detecting data errors, a data transmission circuit-side transmitting portion of the data transmission circuit transmits to a transmission path the data and the error detection code along with retransmission possible information indicating that data sent before or to be sent after the data can be retransmitted, a data reception circuit-side receiving portion of a data receiving circuit receives the data, error detection code, and retransmission possible information transmitted by the data transmission circuit, an error detecting portion of the data transmission circuit detects errors in the received data based on the error detection code, and if an error is detected and the data in which the error has been detected has retransmission possible information, an error data holding portion of the data reception circuit holds the data in which the error has been detected, an error data comparing portion of the data reception circuit compares the data in which the error has been detected with retransmitted data corresponding to the data in which the error has been detected.
