Abstract:
Disclosed are a data transmission device, and a data transmission method. The data transmission device of the present invention adopts a Type-C connector capable of directly acquiring media data output by a terminal apparatus in a DP (DisplayPort) protocol format. Therefore, in a DP operation mode, a terminal apparatus of a user is not required to install a specific driver, and is capable of performing driver-free transmission of media content containing video data and audio data to the data transmission device. When a Type-C connector of the data transmission device is inserted into a terminal apparatus of a user, the data transmission device automatically acquires media content displayed on a screen of the terminal apparatus via the Type-C connector and sends the same to a communications network, thereby realizing driver program-free screen casting to another network node in the communications network for display. Compared with the prior art in which a USB connector is adopted to deliver compressed and encoded data to a wireless module, embodiments of the present invention have the effects of realizing driver-free screen casting, reducing preparation time before screen casting, and saving resources of a processing device.
