Provided are a data transmission method, apparatus and system, relating to the technical field of information and mainly used for solving the problems that the shortest transmission path between a cache server and a source server cannot be determined and the data transmission speed cannot be improved at present. The method comprises: acquiring a transmission delay time, detected by a cache server, of a plurality of transmission paths between the cache server and a source server; configuring a transmission path with the minimum transmission delay time as the shortest transmission path between the cache server and the source server; and sending configuration information about the shortest data transmission path to the cache server, so that the cache server performs data transmission with the source server by means of the shortest data transmission path. The present invention is applicable for data transmission.
