Abstract:
The present application provides a network coding method and apparatus. The method comprises: a transmitting end encodes original data on multiple transmission opportunities to generate a group of first-type parity packets or encoded packets. The transmission timing of this group of first-type parity packets can be delayed by a plurality of transmission opportunities relative to the last transmission opportunity among the multiple transmission opportunities, such that the problem of burst errors in channels can be solved, thereby ensuring transmission reliability. Furthermore, the method further comprises: the transmitting end encodes the original data on one transmission opportunity and/or first-type parity packets on the transmission opportunity to generate a group of second-type parity packets. The second-type parity packets are sent on the transmission opportunity or delayed by a plurality of transmission opportunities, such that the problem of random errors in channels can be solved, thereby ensuring transmission reliability. The present application can be applied to extended reality (XR) services and low latency and/or uplink large capacity scenarios.
