Abstract:

A data transmission method and apparatus, configured to address the problems of existing technical solutions in transmitting data from an MTC terminal apparatus to a network apparatus, such as low resource utilization rates, and no way to ensure delayed data transmission. The method comprises: a terminal apparatus using a first random access resource to send to a network apparatus a random access request message; the network apparatus sending to the terminal apparatus a random access response message containing first information, the first information being configured to indicate a transmission resource allocated to the terminal apparatus by the network apparatus; and the terminal apparatus sending, on the basis of a size comparison result between the transmission resource and an RRC message and/or a size comparison result between the transmission resource and second data, first data to the network apparatus by means of a predetermined message.
