Abstract:
Disclosed are a data transmission method and apparatus, applied to the field of wireless communications. The method comprises: a first access point (AP) receiving cooperatively configured information sent from a second AP, wherein the cooperatively configured information from the second AP is used for indicating, to the first AP, cooperative basic information about the second AP; and according to the number of cooperatively allocated spatial streams, the first AP at least triggering at least one cooperative STA associated with the first AP to use the number of spatial streams allocated by the first AP to perform uplink data transmission; or the first AP using the number of spatial streams allocated by the first AP to at least perform downlink data transmission to at least one cooperative STA associated with the first AP. By means of the solution of the present invention, where channel measurement is not needed, two APs can simultaneously trigger, by using the number of cooperatively allocated spatial streams, cooperative STAs to concurrently perform uplink data transmission or simultaneously send downlink data to cooperative STAs, without the need to perform data transmission in a time division manner, such that system overheads brought about by channel measurement are reduced, and the transmission efficiency of a system is improved.
