Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a data transmission method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving a general packet radio service tunneling protocol-user plane (GTP-U) data packet, wherein a load of the GTP-U data packet comprises a neural network data packet, and a packet header comprises indication information for indicating the priority of the neural network data packet; and transmitting the neural network data packet according to the indication information. By means of carrying, in a GTP-U data packet, indication information for indicating the priorities of neural network data packets, an access network device, which receives the GTP-U data packet, can transmit the neural network data packets according to the indication information, so as to realize differentiated transmission of neural network data packets with different priorities.
